Tours and Visits

The Company is pleased to offer tours and visits to the Hall.

Tours, which must be booked in advance, last about an hour and a quarter and are conducted by the Beadle, the deputy Beadle or the Archivist. Although there are a number of stairs in the Hall, the tour is accessible to people with disabilities.

A number of souvenirs of the Company will be on sale also.

As the Hall is used for a variety of other functions, some days may not be available. Anyone wishing to visit the Hall for specific reasons, such as consulting the archives or to see certain items, should contact the Archivist via our Contact Us page.

Tours can be booked for times between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Thursday

This year's Heritage Open Day (as part of the national series of events) takes place on Saturday, 9 September, 2017, between 10am and 4pm.

Entrance is free, and all the public and private rooms will be open.  There wll be guided tours at intervals, plus a cafe serving light refreshments.

The Cutlers’ Hall Tour Packages

Tour followed by Tea, coffee and homemade cookies (minimum of 10 people):     £7.50 per person

Tour followed by Cutlers’ Afternoon Tea (minimum of 10 people):     £15.00 per person

Afternoon tea will include tea and coffee, an assortment of finger sandwiches. Homemade scones with clotted cream and jam and a selection of cakes.

Tour followed by a 2 Course Lunch (minimum of 20 people):       £25 per person

Our freshly prepared two course lunch will include either a starter and a main or a main and a dessert followed by tea or coffee.

Starter: Ham and Leek terrine

Apple and celery, served with walnut bread.

Main: Braised ‘seven hills’ lamb shoulder with garlic and rosemary

Braised shallot, potato dauphinoise, fine beans and an olive crumb

Dessert: Treacle and ginger sponge

Vanilla ice-cream
