The 374th Cutlers’ Feast took place at the Cutlers' Hall attended by several hundred invited guests including representatives from other Livery Companies, the City and many business and professional organisations. Gavyn Davies, the economist and former Chairman of the BBC, made the main toast of the evening to ‘The Manufacturing Industries of Hallamshire’ and Professor, Lord Winston,Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University, responded on behalf of the guests.

The day after the Cutlers' Feast, it is a tradition that the Master Cutler take some of his guests on a visit to a local manufacturer. This year, the Master Cutler, James Newman, took his guests to Sheffield Hallam University, where they saw examples of silver manufacture.
