GIFTS TO THE COMPANY, 2010-2011

1.                   Mrs Annifer Lee, Mistress Cutler 1977.   A recording of a Radio Sheffield interview 'Annifer Lee's Personal Choice during her year as Mistress Cutler' 1977.  The interviewer was Pam Reed, who became Mistress Cutler in 2005

2.                    Mr John McGee, Master Cutler 1989. A number of items including two scrapbooks for his year of office and a triangular steel cabin clock, a souvenir from the Master Cutler Richard Field's visit to Avesta in 2002

3.                    Mr R Penfold.  A penknife given to him by the Company when he went as a pupil to Christ’s Hospital in London, with the facsimile signature of the then Master Cutler, RP Phillips, 1955

4.                    Colonel George Kilburn, Clerk to the Company. An infantry sword. 

5.                    Mr Rod Sockett. A metal and green enamelled badge with the Company's coat of arms and 'The Master Cutler' This previously belonged to the late Mr Reginald Laight, who was a senior ticket inspector on British Rail until 2000.  Also a copy of ‘Steel in Crisis report by Sheffield City Council, 1983’ and ‘Brown Bayleys, 1871-1971’

6.                    Mr Mike Robinson. A fixed blade fleam, with rosewood handle made by George Gill, Sheffield, and a copy of ‘A History of Firth’s’, published 1924

7.                    HL Brown. A replica of the Admiral Fitzroy mercury Barometer, given to the Company on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of HL Brown, April, 2011.

8.                    Mrs Pam Liversidge. A copy of  'Discovering Horn' by Paula Hardwick, which had been presented to her by the Master of the Worshipful Company of Horners, Dr Leonard P Smith, at that Company's annual banquet, 1999, and  ‘Tool and Steel Products Ltd ‘catalogue.

9.                    Mrs E Lewis, Kenilworth. A copy of ‘The House of Wostenholm’ and an early 20th century Joseph Rodgers’ trade catalogue.  Both books once belonging to George Cannon, Works Director of Joseph Rodgers.

10.                 Mr  James Newman, Master Cutler 2009-2010.   A German made silver ‘wager cup’, imported by Berthold Muller and hallmarked in Chester, 1906
