BETTER LEARNERS BETTER WORKERS VISIT SENIOR ARCHITECTURAL SYSTEMS – 29.01.25

Wednesday 29th January, students from Sir Thomas Wharton Academy had the privilege of visiting Senior Architectural Systems (SAS). The visit was hosted by Managing Director and Company of Cutlers Member Mark Wadsworth, Technical Director Mark Wheatley and Katie Neale from Marketing.

During the tour, students were shown how SAS designs, treats and prepares their products before shipping them to customers. After the tour, the students heard about the wide range of career opportunities in the industry, along with the skills and qualifications needed.

To put their creativity to the test, students were tasked with designing and building a catapult to help give them an insight into designing a working product, with limited time and resources to complete the challenge – ending the competition declaring the winner!

Each student received a goody bag packed with company merchandise, a note pad and pen, an elephant designed by Mark Wadsworths’ daughter for charity, a Lego technics set, and a SAS T shirt. Everyone was also treated to a Domino’s Lunch courtesy of SAS!
