Last week, our Better Learners Better Workers (BLBW) Ambassadors from Sheaf Training had the exciting opportunity to visit the new Henry Boot HQ at the Isaacs building in Sheffield, part of the Heart of the City development.

Jack Kidder, Responsible Business Manager, shared insights on the importance of collaboration within the company’s teams and the strategies for attracting new talent. He also highlighted their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint and achieving net zero by 2030.
Our learners engaged in a career-based quiz, discovering the diverse roles available in construction and learning about the company’s history. The visit included a tour of recently completed projects such as the award-winning green space Pounds Park, The Kangaroo Works, and Cambridge Street Collective which is Europe’s largest food hall.

The enthusiasm of Sheaf learners was evident, with one student proudly stating, “Makes you proud to be from Sheffield, doesn’t it?”
A big thank you to Jack and his team for their unwavering support of our learners.
