The Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire was delighted to welcome students, teachers, parents, employers and supporters to Cutlers’ Hall for the 2026 Better Learners Better Workers graduation ceremony.
As a founding partner of the programme, the Company is proud to support an initiative that helps inspire young people across Sheffield and South Yorkshire, equipping them with the skills, confidence and aspirations needed for future education and employment.
Hosted by Clerk to the Company, Martin van Kan, the ceremony saw certificates presented by the Master Cutler, Professor Keith Jackson CEng CDir, recognising the achievements of primary and secondary school pupils who have completed the programme over the past year.
The event celebrated not only the dedication and enthusiasm of the young people taking part, but also the commitment of the teachers, employers, volunteers and programme partners who continue to make Better Learners Better Workers such a success.
The Company would like to congratulate every graduate on their achievement and thank Sarah Ward and the entire Better Learners Better Workers team for their continued leadership and dedication to delivering the programme across the region.
Supporting the development of future talent is central to the Company’s mission to champion manufacturing and industry in Sheffield and South Yorkshire. By helping young people understand the skills, opportunities and career pathways available to them, Better Learners Better Workers is making a lasting difference to both individuals and the wider regional economy.
