MASTER CUTLER & HALLAMSHIRE MISTRESS VISIT SIMPKINS SWEETS – 11.09.23

After a different company visit on Monday 11th September 2023, the Master Cutler, Dame Julie Kenny and Hallamshire Mistress, Rachel Abbott visited Simpkins Sweets in Sheffield. They were thrilled to be able to tour the entire factory with one of the Managing Directors, Adrian Simpkin.

Simpkins Sweets has been manufacturing sweets in Sheffield since 1921. The company’s rich history, established by Adrian’s Grandfather, is still well-preserved within the factory. Despite its traditional roots, Simpkins Sweets has embraced newer manufacturing technologies to enhance its production processes. Like many businesses, Simpkins Sweets faces current challenges. Nevertheless, the company boasts a loyal team of long-serving and dedicated staff with a strong commitment to the brand.
