The Master & Mistress braved Storm Dudley to visit Barnsley Mayor Caroline Makinson and Consort Barry Makinson. They were invited for a walking tour of the Town Centre and to witness the impressive progress of the regeneration of the area. The highlight of the trip was the newly unveiled Covid Memorial Statue and Tribute to Key Workers and volunteers of the pandemic in Glass Works Square. It is one of the first in the World, designed by local artist, Graham Ibbeson, words by Barnsley Poet, Ian McMillan and pictures on the brass plaque by local school children. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-south-yorkshire-59373781
