The Master Cutler, Charles Turner DL, hosted a visit by the British Embassy’s export growth team to the International Hardware Fair in Cologne on 5th March.

Kenny Legg and Zara Zengin visited the Sheffield companies on the UK pavilion, including Durham-Duplex, Jewel Blade, Robert Sorby, Spear & Jackson and Presto.

The Master’s trip will continue to Bochum on Wednesday 6th March, where he will serve as a representative for the City of Sheffield and SY manufacturers on a trade mission with the City of Bochum. This mission aims to strengthen civic, trade, and academic links. The delegation will include representatives from Yorkshire AI, Durham-Duplex, the Royce Centre, Advanced Alloy Solutions, and Sheffield University, who will be in Bochum until Friday. The Mayor of Bochum will make a return visit in May.

The Master Cutler had the opportunity to meet with Rotabroach at the fair on its last day. As part of the OSL Group, Rotabroach manufactures products in Attercliffe. The Master Cutler was photographed with two members of the sales team who were covering the final day. They reported that it had been a good show with strong interest in their Sheffield-made products.
