MASTER CUTLER’S CHALLENGE 2025 – 28.01.25

The Master Cutler’s Challenge 2025 officially launched on Tuesday 28th January, with this year’s challenge dedicated to supporting Sheffield hospitals Charity and it’s vital work in dementia care.

At the launch event, held at Cutlers’ Hall, Master Cutler, Philip Rodrigo, made a speech about his personal connection to the cause. He was also joined by representatives from Sheffield Hospitals Charity and participants who have already signed up for this year’s challenge.

The Master Cutler’s challenge invites individuals and businesses to take an initial £50 investment and transform it into a substantial donation for the chosen charity or cause. Participants will compete to raise as much money as possible before the closing ceremony in September.

Beth Crackles, Chief Executive at Sheffield Hospitals Charity, said:

“We are incredibly proud to be the charity chosen for the Master Cutler’s Challenge this year and for the support this will give to our work around dementia care.

At Sheffield Hospitals Charity we are committed to helping people live better with dementia. From providing specialist training and improving in-hospital experiences to helping people in our communities stay independent for longer.

It’s wonderful to see this huge show of support for Sheffield’s NHS from our business community.”
