SKILLS MATTER: BLBW AMBASSADORS HEAD TO HESLEY WOOD – 27.05.25

Last week, the Better Learners Better Workers Ambassadors from Sheaf Training, Firvale Academy, and Firth Park Academy took part in a “Skills Matter Day” at Hesley Wood Scout Activity Centre.

🎯 From archery and axe throwing to crate stacking and team-building challenges, every activity was designed around Learning Outside the Classroom criteria —ensuring a day that was not only fun and safe but also packed with opportunities to develop core skills like confidence, resilience, and teamwork.

The Ambassadors brought amazing energy and enthusiasm to every challenge and activity, working together brilliantly to support one another and complete the tasks.

The staff at Hesley Wood commented on how well the students collaborated and what a pleasure it was to host them.

A huge thank you to the fantastic team at Hesley Wood for creating such a memorable and successful experience!
