January 26, 2024

Friday 26th January saw the first £50 cheque for the Master Cutler’s Challenge 2024 (MCC 2024) to be handed over to the Assay Master, Ashley Carson, at the Sheffield Assay Office.
The MCC is supporting the Sheffield Cathedral Schools Singing Programme, the Assay Master said, “We are delighted to be involved in the challenge this year and the office team will use the £50 to prime the pump to raise funds for this important cause. Singing is a collective activity and raises confidence, aspirations and ability in young people so we will work hard to maximise our benefit to the Cathedral’s programme.”
The Master Cutler said, “I am delighted to be up and running with the first cheque handed out to such a great organisation. I am sure they will bring a lot of benefit to the appeal with their entrepreneurial approach to fundraising.”
