THE NEW MASTER CUTLER ELECTED FOR 2023-2024 – 04.09.23

The Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire are delighted to announce that Mr Charles Turner DL has been elected as the 384th Master Cutler. The decision was made at the Election Meeting convened on Monday 4th September 2023.  We are also pleased to inform you that, at the same meeting, Mr Philip Rodrigo was elected to be the Senior Warden and Professor Keith Jackson the Junior Warden.

The Installation Ceremony for the new Master Cutler will take place on Tuesday 3rd October 2023 at the esteemed Cutlers’ Hall and Sheffield Cathedral.  The current Master Cutler, Dame Julie Kenny DBE DL will formally install the new Master at this event.  The Installation Ceremony serves as a testament to The Company’s longstanding commitment to promoting excellence in the engineering & manufacturing industry across South Yorkshire.

Also, at the Election Meeting, Mr John Tissiman (Master in 2004) stood down as a Member after over 40 years of dedication and commitment to the Company. Mrs Rachel Abbott, Managing Director of Cobra Sports Exhausts Ltd, was elected as our newest Member of the Company.
